In the hospital, we were known to refer to is as "The Silver Stallion". It came in handy to let our patients waiting for bronchoscopy to sit it; they suddenly became much more accepting of what we wereputting where when faced with what others had to endure.
I'm hoping that by the time I need Endoscopy, they will have perfected the virtual version.
take off work the day prior to the procedure and the day of the procedure (Monday is a great day to have it done). Just think, after you're scoped, you're not only allowed to burp and fart without recrimination - you're actually encouraged to do so.

My stomach was upset for the entire day, all for a procedure of a few minutes. Hmph.
Also, they didn't find anything, which means I'm up for the full colonoscopy next. Whee.
